| For Bread: | ||
| 1 - 2/3 | cup | flour |
| 3/4 | cup | granulated sugar |
| 1 - 1/2 | teaspoons | baking powder |
| 3/4 | teaspoon | salt |
| 1 | teaspoon | ground cardamom |
| 1 | 1 large pear, unpeeled and chopped | |
| 1/2 | cup | vegetable oil |
| 1/4 | cup | milk |
| 2 | eggs | |
| For Topping: | ||
| 1 | tablespoon | granulated sugar |
| 1/4 | teaspoon | ground cardamom |
For Bread:
Heat oven to 350 F. Grease bottom only of loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray,
Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cardamom, pear, vegetable oil, milk and eggs in large bowl; beat 30 seconds with spoon.
Pour into pan. See topping below.
For Topping:
Mix sugar and ground cardamom together. Sprinkle over top of batter in loaf pan.
Bake 55-60 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool 10 minutes before removing to wire rack to cool completely.
