Pear Cardamom Bread

Ingredients

For Bread:
1 - 2/3 cup flour
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 - 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cardamom
1 1 large pear, unpeeled and chopped
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup milk
2 eggs
For Topping:
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom

Directions:

For Bread:
Heat oven to 350 F. Grease bottom only of loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray,

Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cardamom, pear, vegetable oil, milk and eggs in large bowl; beat 30 seconds with spoon.

Pour into pan. See topping below.

For Topping:
Mix sugar and ground cardamom together. Sprinkle over top of batter in loaf pan.

Bake 55-60 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

Cool 10 minutes before removing to wire rack to cool completely.
